Monday night's episode of
RAW featured some memorable moments (Drew McIntyre taking out WWE Champion Brock Lesnar and Randy Orton hitting an RKO on Beth Phoenix, for example), but there was a lot of the show which didn't work, including 24/7 Champion Riddick Moss burying Ricochet.
During the latest episode of Wrestling Observer Live, Bryan Alvarez noted that even with the XFL in full swing, Vince McMahon remains as hands on as ever when he's actually at
RAW or
SmackDown, and that was the case this week.
"That Randy Orton segment at the end of Raw was unbelievable. And man, I thought the tag match was great and I thought the segment at the beginning where they put over Drew McIntyre three times on Brock Lesnar was great. That stuff was great but the middle two hours between that sucked."
"I don’t know everything that happened on Monday but I do know that this guy showed up and he changed everything again," he continued. "Apparently, it was worse than usual and if you watched the show, the show was worse than usual."
Clearly, McMahon overruled RAW Executive Director Paul Heyman this week and decided that Ricochet should be buried. The sad fact is that he remain in charge, and it was like Vince who decided to shake up WrestleMania by taking the Universal Championship from The Fiend and putting it on Goldberg.
What did you guys think of RAW this week?
