There's been a lot of buzz around today's WWE investor call, especially after Variety recently ran an article demanding that Vince McMahon give answers for the company's negatively reviewed creative efforts, poor ratings, and falling stock prices.
Well, when McMahon was asked about that today, he said that WWE has turned a corner with the hiring of Paul Heyman as RAW Executive Director and Eric Bischoff as SmackDown Live Executive Director and noted that they have spent more time on storylines and talent. In fact, he went so far to say that this marks a "relaunch of content."
McMahon went on to say that he's now freed up to spend more time developing new talent and storylines as it allows him to have a "broader overview" and "to not have to get in the weeds as much as in the past."
He concluded by saying that both Heyman and Bischoff will have a lot of latitude with their respective brands moving forward.
