As of right now, there have been no talks between WWE and CM Punk about him making an in-ring return and he remains under the employ of FOX for WWE Backstage. As a result, Seth Rollins mentioning the one-time Best in the World at the start of last night's RAW has not been well-received by Vince McMahon!
Apparently, it was an ad-lib by Rollins to point out that Punk would rather be behind a desk in Los Angeles than return to WWE to actually make a change and that was in response to fans chanting for him. Now, we've heard a number of Superstars respond to those in the past but Vince isn't happy this time because he doesn't want fans to assume WWE is planning a match with Punk and Rollins.
The latter's Tweets have already led to speculation that's the case and if it doesn't happen (and many fans are already convinced it will), there's going to be a lot of disappointment come WrestleMania season. There's no word on whether Rollins has any backstage heat as a result of this but don't be surprised if he stops trolling Punk moving forward.
