You may recall that NXT UK Champion WALTER was part of Team NXT at
Survivor Series last November and that he was eliminated in a matter of minutes by Drew McIntyre. Fans in the building weren't happy and no one could really understand why he was knocked out of the bout so quickly.
Well, it turns out that it really didn't matter to WALTER.
"I wasn't invested in that. I didn't care," he admitted during a recent interview. "I care about my guys, my group, I care about the sport, but I don't care about all those people being angry each other. It was a weird match too – three five-men tag teams, and always three guys in the ring. That's when wrestling turns from competition to putting acrobats in a circus to do a show."
"There's 15 of you, you've got to do something," he continued. "It's not my world. Any match where I know it's gonna be exciting and good competition, I'm excited. I love to be in the ring."
So, there you have it! Perhaps WWE realised he wasn't well suited to the match and got him out of there quickly for shock value. Either way, he's clearly happy in NXT and looking forward to Imperium taking on The Undisputed Era this weekend.
