Was Liv Morgan Able To Dethrone RAW Women's Champion Becky Lynch Last Night? Here's What Happened!

Last night's episode of RAW was headlined by Becky Lynch putting her title on the line against Liv Morgan, but the match had a predictably bad WWE finish that has caused quite a bit of backlash online...

Well, we were foolish for getting our hopes, eh? In the build up to last night's RAW, WWE did everything possible to make us think Liv Morgan would walk out of the show with Becky Lynch's RAW Women's Championship. Instead, the match ended with a typical screwy finish after "The Man" used the ropes for leverage to get the pin and retain her title.

Clearly, the stage is being set for a rematch at Day 1 or the Royal Rumble, but what could have been a huge moment for Morgan now feels dead in the water. Sure, WWE is probably hoping the way the match ended will build anticipation for her eventual win, but we've seen storylines like this play out in the past and if/when the title does change hands, it feels like the moment has passed.

RAW actually went off the air with Liv in the ring shaking her head, though WWE has at least got a good meme out of the match (that kid is arguably speaking for every WWE viewer right now).

Check out some highlights from RAW's main event below:
