Preview & Predictions for WWE NXT:
On tap for tonight's episode, general manager Ava will address what is going on with the NXT Championship after Oba Femi relinquished the title last week. I'm assuming she'll say a generic "there will be a few matches to set up who fights for the title at some future show" setup, but it could be even simpler than that with her already picking the people fighting for it, like Ricky Saints.
We'll also be hearing from the new NXT Women's North American champion, Izzi Dame, over her surprise win over Thea Hail from last week. I'd suspect Blake Monroe will be addressed in some fashion, and Thea Hail could be looking for a rematch.
Lola Vice will face Kelani Jordan, seemingly (but not confirmed) with the idea in mind that the winner could get a shot at Dame's title, so I'm expecting Vice to come out on top.
Joe Hendry has enlisted OTM's help in fighting off DarkState for his match with Dion Lennox, but I think that'll end up not being good enough and Lennox will win.
I don't anticipate either Tavion Heights beating Jasper Troy for the WWE Speed Championship or Shiloh Hill beating Stacks for the TNA International Championship whatsoever. There have been a lot of title changes as of late, but that has to slow down at some point, and I think we've pretty much hit the wall with that for at least another month or so. You have to save some things for WrestleMania season and upcoming pay-per-views, which surprisingly haven't been announced yet.
Here are your results for WWE NXT - January 13, 2026:
- Ava started the show with a promo (interrupted by Ricky Saints, who assumed he would be given the title by default) announcing that there will be qualifying matches starting next week to determine six Superstars who will compete in a ladder match on February 3rd to determine the next NXT champion. Keanu Carver laid out a good portion of the people ringside to make a statement.
- Lola Vice defeated Kelani Jordan by pinfall.
- Jasper Troy retained the WWE Speed Championship over Tavion Heights, who was then attacked by Lexis King, who gloated backstage about it to Chase U (who weren't happy about it). Myles Borne told Robert Stone that he wants to get one of those qualifying matches.
- Ethan Page assumed he would automatically qualify for a qualifying match, but was informed that he would actually be defending the NXT North American Championship next week against the debuting Elio Lefleur.
- Kendal Grey was going to talk to Ava about getting a rematch against Jacy Jayne, which devolved into a discussion where Ava announced that Fatal Influence, the WrenQCC, and ZaRuca will all face off in a triple threat tag team match next week to determine the next challengers for the TNA Knockouts World Tag Team Championship.
- Stacks retained the TNA International Championship over Shiloh Hill
- Promo: Izzi Dame hyped herself up for winning the NXT Women's North American Championship, talking smack about Lola Vice and Tatum Paxley. Paxley then went after Dame, knocking down a security guard in the process, which she would later be shown getting thrown out of the building for.
- Ricky Saints revealed that since he was already owed a title rematch, he automatically qualifies for the ladder match, announcing two other qualifiers in Sean Legacy against Eli Knight and Josh Briggs against Shiloh Hill. Hearing that Hill got this opportunity even though he just beat him, Stacks was upset, to which Lexis King said they should talk about it.
- Jackson Drake of The Vanity Project assumes he'll be in a qualifier. Swipe Right will face Chase U next week. Keanu Carver didn't want to be interviewed.
- Joe Hendry defeated Dion Lennox in their No Disqualification match by pinfall. OTM's Bronco Nima and Lucien Price helped Hendry fight off the rest of DarkState (Cutler James, Saquon Shugars, and Osiris Griffin) and Tony D'Angelo then came out, slammed Lennox, then Hendry, and placed Hendry's body on top of Lennox for the pin. Ava sent out some security to handle D'Angelo, who beat them all up to end the show.
