It appears that the storyline between the Kabuki Warriors (Asuka & Kairi Sane) and The IIconics will pick-up again, as it’s been announced that these two teams will face each other in Japan next week. If Asuka and Sane win, then the duo will be the next contenders for the women’s tag titles.

Shortly after WrestleMania, former Smackdown GM Paige introduced both Asuka and Kairi Sane as the Kabuki Warriors and the tag team seemed primed to be the next challengers for the WWE Women’s Tag Team titles. However, Sane & Asuka were taken off of television without any explanation and the IIconics have been losing more often than not on the roster.

Kaye & Royce were successful in defending their titles against Bliss & Cross this past Monday, and it now seems that the storyline with the Kabuki Warriors will pick up again. Let’s just hope that the company doesn’t decide to take the talented Sane & Asuka off television again for no reason.

Asuka will also take part in a triple threat with Raw Women’s Champion Becky Lynch and Alexa Bliss while on the Japanese tour.
