All the signs have been pointing to Brock Lesnar returning to UFC and not signing another contract with WWE and seeing as we've known about his match with Roman Reigns at last night's WrestleMania for the better part of a year, it seemed inevitable that Vince McMahon would choose to crown Roman the victor as Brock goes off to once again try his luck in the octagon.
Well, things didn't quite pan out like that last night. While it may have taken Lesnar a ridiculous six F5s to keep Reigns down, he got the 1-2-3 and remains WWE Universal Champion.
It's now become impossible to predict what comes next for him but chances are he'll be sticking around and it's possible he'll perform in WWE and UFC at the same time (unless that was all misdirection and Lesnar has realised he's better off in the squared circle). Whatever the future holds in store for him will no doubt be made clear on tonight's RAW, though, so we'll have to tune in.
There's currently no word on if Reigns suffered a concussion after being busted open by Lesnar the hard way but seeing a crimson mask like that has become a real rarity in WWE these days.
