WRESTLEMANIA: Michael Cole Trends On Twitter After Botching Sasha Banks Vs. Bianca Belair Finish

"Night 1" of WrestleMania probably wasn't the best wrestling show you'll see this year, but it was still a solid few hours of entertaining content. Tonight arguably has the better selection of matches, but Sasha Banks and Bianca Belair made history in the main event of the Show of Shows.

Commentator Michael Cole has been praised for highlighting the fact that they're the first Black women to main event WrestleMania, and Belair's victory has struck a chord with fans.

Unfortunately, Cole ended up trending on Twitter for hours for botching the final moments of the match.

As you can see in the video below, he said that Banks kicked out of the KOD which quite clearly saw Belair score the 1-2-3 for the win. Corey Graves corrected him, but this definitely put something of a dampener on one of the biggest moments in the EST's in-ring career. Cole later tried to explain that he was surprised Banks hadn't kicked out, but it was a noteworthy mistake.

In fairness, he was sitting out there for hours, in the rain, and errors like this do happen. It will now be interesting seeing whether WWE edits this out or records new commentary for replays.
