WRESTLEMANIA: WWE Teases Baffling Change To Universal Title Match; "Night 1" Main Event Now Confirmed

WWE appears to be teasing a change to Roman Reigns vs. Edge vs. Daniel Bryan at WrestleMania which fans definitely won't appreciate, while we now have a confirmed main event for "Night 1" of the show...

While it would be unfair to say that there wasn't a great deal of excitement surrounding plans for Edge to challenge Roman Reigns for the Universal Championship at WrestleMania, the addition of Daniel Bryan to the match has definitely increased interest. However, it seems that could be about to change.

During last night's SmackDown, there was a segment with Edge complaining about Bryan being inserted into his match, and a backstage segment then followed with Adam Pearce and Sonya Deville.

In that, the latter said she believes it's unfair for this Triple Threat match to take place, especially as the Champion can lose the title without being pinned. Nothing more was said, but speculation has since been running rampant online that WWE could be planning to somehow remove Bryan from the match (it's hard to figure out why else this segment would be in the pre-taped show).

Of course, one other possibility is that WWE is reminding us of the rules of a Triple Threat because the plan is for Roman to lose his title without being pinned. That would obviously protect his new heel persona.

In related news, WWE has officially confirmed that Sasha Banks vs. Bianca Belair for the SmackDown Women's Championship will headline "Night 1" of WrestleMania:
