WrestleMania is once again set to take place over two nights this April and the main events have been set in stone. SmackDown Women's Champion Charlotte Flair will defend her title against the returning Ronda Rousey, while we're getting a "Champion vs. Champion" match when WWE Champion Brock Lesnar goes head-to-head with Universal Champion Roman Reigns.
However, as is so often the case in WWE, there were once much different plans for the Show of Shows.
According to GiveMeSport, an idea thrown around last November/December was for one of the main events to be a Fatal 4-Way match featuring the Four Horsewomen. That means we would have seen Sasha Banks vs. Bayley vs. Becky Lynch vs. Charlotte Flair, likely with one or both titles on the line.
This bout was set to headline Night 1 of WrestleMania, but the idea was put to one side when it became clear Rousey was returning to WWE. The feeling was that the Baddest Woman on the Planet should headline the Show of Shows, while there were those who also wanted to finish the Lynch/Bianca Belair storyline that started when "The Man" returned at SummerSlam last year.
As of right now, it's unclear what WWE has planned for Banks and Bayley at WrestleMania.
