Earlier this month, we heard that Drew Gulak and WWE had quietly parted ways after failing to come to terms on a new contract. That meant he was immediately a free agent, and while there aren't too many companies to work for right now, Gulak could have easily just shown up in an upcoming episode of All Elite Wrestling: Dynamite.
Last week, we heard from Dave Meltzer that Barry Bloom was representing Gulak, and that talks were ongoing about him remaining in WWE. Well, those appear to have paid off because the former 205 Live Superstar has been moved from the "Alumni" section of WWE.com and is once again listed as an active member of the SmackDown roster.
Now, it's said that he's expected back on this Friday's show and WWE is reportedly taping two episodes tonight at the WWE Performance Center (with a "crowd" made up of enhancement talent). Gulak is likely to remain involved with Daniel Bryan's storyline, and WWE must value if they decided to try and keep him.
After all, they recently released a lot of Superstars to save money during the COVID-19 pandemic, but clearly value Gulak enough to make an effort to get him to stick around!
