WWE Announcers Weren't Even Allowed To Mention Sami Zayn's Name During The GREATEST ROYAL RUMBLE

We recently learned that Sami Zayn was kept in the dark about his exclusion from the Greatest Royal Rumble in Saudi Arabia and it's now been revealed that his name was among a list of banned terms.

At the end of last Friday's Greatest Royal Rumble event in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, it was revealed that WWE will return to Riyadh in November. This is all part of the company's ten-year deal with the Saudi Arabian government, something which it's thought will result in multiple events being held there every year. However, will those shows manage to avoid the same level of controversy as this one?

Time will tell on that front but following the news that Zayn still has no idea why he was removed from the show (beyond the fact he's from Syrian descent), another troubling report has surfaced today.

Apparently, WWE announcers were given a handbook with a list of things they weren't allowed to say and Zayn's name was among them. If you watched the show, you'll know that there was no mention of him despite Kevin Owens being part of the match and the women were also blanked. It's a strange situation and one which is unlikely to change given the current political climate of Saudi Arabia.
