During last night's Backlash event, WWE officially announced that Extreme Rules will take place on Sunday, July 19th. A location was not given, but we assume it will once again take place at the Performance Center.

No matches have been confirmed yet, but we can hazard a few guesses. Following the events of Backlash, we assume Nia Jax will get another shot as Asuka's Raw Women's Championship at some point, so that may happen at the next PPV. There are also rumors that the feud between Bobby Lashley and Drew McIntyre is far from over.

Speculation that we may see a rubber match between Edge and Randy Orton has been doing the rounds, but that seems highly unlikely after reports of the former suffering a tricep injury surfaced.

We'll probably have a much better idea of what to expect after tonight's episode of Raw, but until then you can check out the new Extreme Rules logo below.
