WWE Backstage Interviewer Charly Caruso Has Signed With ESPN For SportsCenter

Ever since Renee Young joined RAW's commentary team, Charly Caruso has stepped up as WWE's main backstage interviewer. However, she's now signed with ESPN but what does that mean about her future with WWE?

Earlier this week, wrestling fans were shocked to see Charly Caruso - going under her real name, Charly Arnolt - showed up on ESPN's SportsCenter. Did this mean that she had finished working for WWE? That was the initial belief but in reality, she's simply taken another presenting gig outside the company (similar to Jonathan Coachman) and is still under a full-time contract with WWE.

As you can see in her Instagram post below, Caruso will continue to work for WWE but will also make regular appearances on ESPN and WWE will no doubt be happy seeing her get a higher profile.

After all, having a SportsCenter presenter interviewing the talent backstage helps legitimise WWE and her becoming a more famous face means many wrestling fans will probably respond more warmly to her when she presents in-ring segments and the like. Regardless, we obviously want to congratulate Charly on her new job and look forward to seeing what she does in both WWE and ESPN.

Charly Arnolt...ESPN. WHAAAAAT!!! Been waiting my whole life to say those 4 letters! So yep, here I am—officially an ESPN employee! (No, I am NOT leaving WWE! That’s still my home and I am so happy there!) I’ll be doing a few things at ESPN from time to time for now, including SportsCenter updates and hosting the SportsCenter on Snapchat show. I’m still in disbelief. WWE + ESPN = KILLER COMBO! I am so incredible appreciative and fortunate for both of these wonderful opportunities! Check me out all day today and tomorrow doing SC updates! 😍🥇💯💪🏽 @espn @wwe . . . . #espn #sportscenter #sports #football #anchor #host #basketball #news #wwe #nyc #dreamcometrue #bucketlist #goals #lifeiscrazy
