WWE BACKSTAGE Viewership Improved Greatly Even With CM Punk's Return Kept A Surprise

The ratings for this week's episode of WWE Backstage are in and it's a big improvement over last Tuesday's disastrous 49,000 viewers! The show - which airs on Fox Sports 1 - drew 100,000 viewers.

It's hard to say how happy FOX will be with that number, especially as it's still a far cry from the 597,000 viewers WWE Backstage drew last month for that initial sneak peek. It's also way down from the 426,000 viewers the second preview (which aired after SmackDown) received.

CM Punk's shocking return to WWE won't have made a difference to the ratings because that was a surprise right at the end of the episode.

Given how much discussion that's generated online, though, we can safely expect ratings to rise next week. We'll keep you guys updated!
