WWE Canceled Kevin Smith's SMACKDOWN Appearance After He Showed Up At ALL ELITE WRESTLING: DYNAMITE

WWE didn't really succeed in attracting a lot of A-Listers to the premiere of Friday Night SmackDown but they decided to uninvite Kevin Smith after he appeared during the All Elite Wrestling: Dynamite debut...

During a recent appearance on The Rich Eisen Show for Bleacher Report Live, Chris Jericho and Kevin Smith touched on a number of topics, including the latter's recent appearance on the premiere episode of All Elite Wrestling: Dynamite

It sounds like WWE wasn't happy about that as the decided to uninvite the filmmaker (and Jason Mewes) from the first episode of Friday Night SmackDown a couple of days later.

"We were supposed to go do WWE, me and Jay [on Friday for SmackDown]," Smith says. "Then the morning [after Dynamite] we were told that WWE was like you can’t come on anymore and they canceled us..." Clearly, WWE didn't want to play second fiddle to AEW by having Smith appear so soon after on one of their shows.

Still, this probably just proves that the Wednesday Night Wars are, in fact, very real (at least where WWE is concerned).
