WWE Cancels Several Upcoming RAW Events; No More SMACKDOWN Shows On Mondays Moving Forward

It seems as if WWE is still struggling with low attendance figures as they've cancelled several upcoming non-televised live events just weeks before they're set to take place. Find out more after the jump!

According to PW Insider, WWE has cancelled five upcoming RAW live events:

- Friday, August 23 in Bossier City, Louisiana
- Saturday, August 24 in Lafayette, Louisiana
- Sunday, August 25 in Mobile, Alabama
- Friday, August 30 in Bangor, Maine
- Saturday, August 31 in Portland, Maine

As you can see, we're just weeks away from these taking place and this is the first time in a very long time that WWE has cancelled a weekend tour so close to them actually happened. They did the same with a SmackDown tour earlier this month and, as of right now, the September 1st RAW show in White Plains, New York is still set to take place.

It's also worth noting that, moving forward, there are no more SmackDown shows taking place on Mondays. This is due to the blue brand's move to FOX in October and it's thought that the Superstars on that show will start touring from Thursday to Sunday. RAW Superstars, meanwhile, will stick to Friday to Monday.

As for why these shows have been scrapped, it's more than likely due to low ticket sales.
