Vicente Beltrán of ViBe & Wrestling recently caught up with WWE Champion Drew McIntyre, and among the topics they discussed was who the Scottish Superstar would like to defend his title against next. The interview took place before Monday's RAW, so one of his dream opponents could now be a real possibility, especially after he earned his way into the Money in the Bank ladder match: AJ Styles.
"We’ll get so many times people mentioned referred names like Randy [Orton] and Edge so far like Jinder Mahal I want to make him to go on a winning streak first before we even consider it," McIntyre starts. "Somebody that’s not there right now hopefully he can dig himself out from the ground is AJ Styles. He's somebody that’s certainly up there, he’s a performer that you know he’s one of the greatest in-ring performers of all time."
After explaining what an impact Styles has had on his career, McIntyre added: "[We] kept being like passing ships in the night we never really had that opportunity to have a singles match and we made a triple threat one time with himself myself and Randy Orton which the match was awesome and I know of myself and AJ got the chance to go out there not only would it be like awesome story-wise but obviously the matches would be phenomenal."
Styles is clearly the one he wants to face somewhere down the line, but he could end up regretting that if the Phenomenal One does earn the Money in the Bank briefcase before cashing in on him somewhere down the line.
