Could we see Jinder Mahal turn face at some point? Sure, the Modern Day Maharajah is one of the most despised heels on the WWE roster right now, but much worse than him have found a way to get over with the fans in the past.

During a recent interview with ESPN.com, Mahal discussed the possibility of adopting a more positive persona:

“I am interested in seeing what other characters I could play. The evolution of a WWE character is such that things change and I can’t wait to have a babyface character. I can’t wait for the crowd reaction when I come here [India] and definitely the WWE will see some of that reaction. Maybe that starts to plug something in creative and you might see a different side of me.”

Jinder's "angry foreigner" gimmick has come in for some flak recently, as it's a well-worn tactic to draw what's seen as cheap heat at this stage, and for many his borderline racist promos on Shinsuke Nakamura took things way too far. Turning him face could certainly work to change all that, and the champ definitely has the talent and charisma to pull it off.

What do you guys think? Would you like to see Jinder Mahal turn face? Sound off below.
