WWE Confirms That There Have Been "Discussions" With Hulk Hogan About Returning To The Company
It's been a few years since WWE parted ways with Hulk Hogan over racist remarks made during his sex tape (you can't make this stuff up), but the legendary wrestler may have gotten a foot back in the door...
Back in 2015, WWE fired Hulk Hogan over racist remarks he made on some newly-unearthed audio, and after staying off the radar for quite some time, the legendary wrestler has recently begun to tease a comeback.
Though we haven't heard anything from WWE's side up until now, the company has just confirmed that they are indeed speaking to Hogan, real name Terry Bollea, about possibly rejoining the brand - though they do specify that nothing has been signed just yet:
“We have had discussions with Terry Bollea (aka Hulk Hogan) about how he can help others learn from his mistakes, however, he is not under any contract with WWE.”
Had this been a lower-level talent there would be no chance in hell he'd ever get an audience to plead his case, but Hulk Hogan is Hulk freakin' Hogan, and he's never not going to be a huge draw.
If The Hulkster does wind up back in The WWE, it'll be very interesting to see how he's utilised - and how he's received by the WWE Universe, for that matter.
