Yesterday, we learned that Enzo Amore was absent from RAW because he'd been hospitalised with an unknown illness which was explained away as flu on the show. It's since been claimed that he arrived at the building an hour before RAW began but was sent away by WWE officials and things have now taken an event more interesting turn after an announcement from Kurt Angle.

The RAW General Manager took to Twitter to reveal that, "@REAL1 HAS THE FLU AND THUS I MUST REPLACE HIM IN THE MIXED MATCH CHALLENGE. #WWEMMC." Considering the fact that this Facebook Watch event doesn't take place until the 16th so WWE is clearly expecting Amore to be gone for a while and that leaves the Cruiserweight Championship's fate up in the air.

It's been widely assumed that Amore would be paired up with Nia Jax given their
on screen romance so whether or not that storyline has also been ditched remains to be seen. Still, given past controversies surrounding Amore, there could be much more to this than meets the eye...
