WWE: Cruz Montana Joins The 946 And Levels Roman Reigns On Raw

Cruz Montana aligns with The 946 on Raw and levels Roman Reigns in a Crown Jewel-week shock that instantly reshapes Bloodline math on live television.

Cruz Montana just made the loudest NXT-to-Raw jump of the week. During last night's Monday Night Raw, Montana arrived amid the brawl between The 946 and The Bloodline, took out World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns, and looked every bit like the newest piece of Royce Keys' group with Crown Jewel five days away. Check out the official post down below:

From NXT Highlight To Raw Numbers Game

WWE.com's Raw results spell out the sequence. Royce Keys versus Solo Sikoa had already boiled over. Bronco Nima, Lucien Price, and Carmelo Hayes wiped out Sikoa, Reigns and The Usos answered, and the OTC looked in control until Montana hit the floor and leveled the World Heavyweight Champion. Official captioning framed it as Montana aligning with The 946 in a battle with The Bloodline, which matches WWE's social call that the group added to its numbers.

That matters because Reigns spent earlier segments dismissing The 946 as a threat while standing across from Undisputed WWE Champion Sami Zayn. Mock the stable on the mic, then eat a surprise NXT save in the same night, and Crown Jewel week suddenly has a new body on the wrong side of the Bloodline ledger.

Montana's NXT work already had people watching his striking and composure. We flagged that lane when we covered WWE NXT Results (October 20, 2026): Cruz Montana vs Dion Lennox, Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic & More, and last night was the main-roster receipt.

Why The Clip Dominated The Night

WWE's Montana video was one of the most-watched Raw clips of the show for obvious reasons. Surprise alignments photograph cleanly. A rising NXT name blasting Roman Reigns photographs even cleaner. The 946 has been building as a problem unit with Keys' southpaw swagger and a deep bench. Adding Montana mid-brawl tells viewers the group is still recruiting while the Bloodline is busy looking over its shoulder at Sami Zayn.

The same stretch of Raw ended with Zayn sliding in for a Helluva Kick on Reigns after The 946 finished its damage. Montana's shot and Zayn's kick are different stories that now share a timeline. Crown Jewel's Champion versus Champion match does not need extra gasoline, but Raw poured it anyway.

Full match context for the night, including Ethan Page's Intercontinental title win and the Orton-Rhodes war of words, sits in our WWE MONDAY NIGHT RAW Results (November 2, 2026): Chad Gable vs Ethan Page, John Cena Announcement & More. The Montana swerve is the detail traveling fastest outside the results column.

Crown Jewel Week Gets Another Variable

Five days out from the PLE, every Raw save becomes a booking question. Is Montana locked into 946 television through Crown Jewel, or was this a one-night statement? WWE's own language treated it as an addition to the group, not a random run-in, which is the framing to follow until someone says otherwise on camera.

Reigns rarely lets a cheap shot go unanswered for long. Montana just signed up for that weather. Keys' crew already had enough bodies to ruin Bloodline math. A hungry NXT striker on that side makes the pre-PLE brawls harder to script as clean two-group fights.

For NXT fans who have watched Montana climb, this is the call-up moment without a press release. For Raw fans, it is another reason Crown Jewel week feels unstable in the best way.

NXT Call-Ups Change Raw Math Overnight

Montana did not need a contract signing segment to alter Bloodline planning. One clean shot on Reigns was enough to put every Crown Jewel brawl under new suspicion. If The 946 can keep producing those surprises, Reigns' dismissive promo from earlier in the night ages poorly in a hurry.

Watch how commentators phrase Montana's status on the next episode. "Aligned with" can become "member of" in a single replay package. WWE already chose the louder social framing. Television usually follows.

Is Cruz Montana a full-time 946 member from here, or was last night a one-off shock?
