WWE DRAFT: Night 2 Featured Some Bigger Surprises As NXT Stars Are Called Up To RAW And SMACKDOWN

Night 1 of this year's WWE Draft took place during last Friday's SmackDown, and for many fans, it was a disappointment.

Major changes were few and far between, but WWE is taking a more realistic approach to draft picks, with each show looking to retain its top stars while signing new ones (something Michael Cole explained during last night's RAW).

That show brought much bigger surprises, with DAMAGE CTRL moving to RAW alongside Legado del Fantasma, The Final Testament, New Catch Republic, and Natalya. Braun Strowman also made his return.

SmackDown, meanwhile, has acquired Chelsea Green, DIY, former Imperium member Giovanni Vinci, along with Candice LeRae and Indi Hartwell.

The biggest news of the night might be the NXT call-ups. On Monday nights, we'll see Ilja Dragunov, Lyra Valkyria, Dijak, and Oddysey Jones. As for the blue brand, they're getting Blair Davenport.

Champions were once again ineligible to be drafted, while Roman Reigns removed himself from the Draft Pool last week. There was also no mention of Brock Lesnar despite speculation he might return.
