NXT United Kingdom Champion WALTER was recently a guest on Corey Graves' "After the Bell" podcast, and was asked to name his dream opponents on WWE's main roster. Daniel Bryan was someone he made a point of singling out, and heaped plenty of praise on the former WWE Champion (who is now a free agent after not signing another WWE contract).
"When I first got into watching other wrestling than WWE, I was watching a lot of Ring of Honor," he started. "A lot of those guys are the top guys in WWE right now, so Daniel Bryan would be one of the matches I’d really want to do. Obviously Cesaro, that’s one."
“He left for America before I really got going in Germany and he’s, in general, a great role model for us German speaking WWE talent," WALTER continued. "He’s always been super supportive as soon as we stepped foot in WWE he reached his hand out to be super supportive and he’s a fantastic wrestler so he would be one of the guys I would really like to face."
However, WWE has now uploaded that interview to YouTube...and completely removed any mention of Bryan! Instead, the focus is on the other two wrestlers he talked about facing: Cesaro and Finn Balor.
Why has any mention of Bryan been removed? Well, common sense says that it's simply because he's under contract with WWE now. So much for it being okay to mention him on programming, though! Then again, if Bryan shows up on Dynamite this Wednesday, then WWE certainly won't want to promote him in any way.
