Fastlane took place last night and while the PLE hasn't generated quite the same level of excitement as other recent WWE shows, it featured more than its fair share of huge moments.
The event kicked off with Cody Rhodes and Jey Uso challenging The Judgement Day's Finn Balor and Damian Priest for the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Championship. It was a barnstormer of a match and despite interference from Dominik Mysterio, Rhea Ripley, and JD McDonagh, some stellar teamwork from the babyfaces saw them pick up a shock win to nab the titles!
Fastlane also featured a segment with Jade Cargill arriving at the arena where she was greeted by Triple H, though she never appeared in the ring.
Carlito made his surprise return to help Rey Mysterio and Santos Escobar defeat Bobby Lashley and The Street Profits, and the beloved WWE Superstar is expected to be a full-time talent moving forward.
Elsewhere, Iyo Sky retained the WWE Women's Championship over Charlotte Flair and Asuka, while John Cena and LA Knight vs. The Bloodline's Jimmy Uso and Solo Sikoa was just as much fun as you'd expect.
It was ultimately Knight who scored the pinfall victory over Jimmy with The BFT after Cena delivered a Five Knuckle Shuffle and, when the bell rang, the two babyfaces shook hands and celebrated.
Heading into the Last Man Standing main event for the WWE World Heavyweight Championship, Priest teased a Money in the Bank cash-in. Seth Rollins didn't have much time to worry about that, though, as Shinsuke Nakamura brought the fight to him.
There was no cash-in and Rollins retained the title after sending the King of Strong Style through the tech tables with a Falcon Arrow to keep him down for a 10-count.
