The latest edition of WWE Friday Night SmackDown for February 26, 2021 took place from the WWE ThunderDome at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Florida.
Here is a recap of the most noteworthy highlights from this episode for those who might have missed it:
— The show started with Roman Reigns addressing Elimination Chamber, Edge challenging him for WrestleMania and his successful title defense. Daniel Bryan then came out to talk about Reigns setting himself up for an easy win. Bryan challenged Reigns to defend his title in a true one-on-one match at Fastlane. Later, Edge, Adam Pearce and Sonya Deville talked about Edge being upset that Bryan was skipping to the front of the line. Bryan was set to face Jey Uso and if he won, he'd earn the title shot for Fastlane.
— Alpha Academy (Chad Gable and Otis) defeated Dominik and Rey Mysterio by pinfall.
— Apollo Crews defeated Shinsuke Nakamura by pinfall.
— Tamina defeated Liv Morgan by pinfall.
— Bianca Belair made her WrestleMania decision, choosing to challenge Sasha Banks for the SmackDown Women's Championship.
— The Street Profits defeated Sami Zayn and King Corbin by pinfall.
— Daniel Bryan vs Jey Uso ended in a double count out, meaning Bryan didn't earn his title shot, nor did he lose, so WWE will extend that story into next week.
