The latest edition of WWE Friday Night SmackDown for February 28, 2020 took place at the TD Garden in Boston, MA.
Here is a recap of the most noteworthy highlights from this episode for those who might have missed it:
— Goldberg started the show asking who is next. Roman Reigns came out to say "I'm next."
— Naomi defeated Bayley by disqualification after interference by Sasha Banks. Lacey Evans made the save and it was restarted as a tag team match. Naomi and Lacey Evans defeated Bayley and Sasha Banks by pinfall.
— Robert Roode defeated Kofi Kingston by pinfall.
— Otis feels like there's something not right about Mandy Rose dating Dolph Ziggler. Tucker tried to give him a pep talk about how sometimes, the good guy doesn't get the girl, but next week, they'll try to find him someone from the WWE Universe.
— In a contract signing for an intercontinental title match at Elimination Chamber, Sami Zayn twisted Braun Strowman's words about how he knew he'd have to fight all three of them. Zayn amended the contract to make it a 3-on-1 handicap match for the title instead. Then, the three of them triple-teamed Strowman and put him through the table.
— Goldberg vs. Roman Reigns for WrestleMania 36 was announced.
— Daniel Bryan defeated Curtis Axel by submission. Drew Gulak was ringside on commentary trying to give pointers to Axel.
— It was announced that there will be an Elimination Chamber match with the SmackDown Tag Team Championship on the line as John Morrison and The Miz will face The New Day, Heavy Machinery, Lucha House Party, Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode, and The Usos.
— The Usos defeated John Morrison and The Miz by pinfall.
— John Cena cut a promo about how WrestleMania should go on without him this year. He thanked everyone and said this wasn't goodbye, but see you later, dropped the mic and walked off...but when he got onto the stage, The Fiend appeared and pointed to the WrestleMania sign. Cena agreed.
