The latest edition of WWE Friday Night SmackDown for July 24, 2020 took place at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida.

— Nikki Cross and Alexa Bliss interrupted a promo from The Golden Role Models. Bayley then offered the idea that Nikki and Alexa could fight each other and the winner would fight her for the SmackDown Women's Championship next week. Nikki Cross then beat Alexa Bliss by pinfall.
— Bray Wyatt had a Firefly Fun House promo about how The Fiend will get his turn to fight Braun Strowman next.
— Matt Riddle defeated Tony Nese by pinfall. The Original Bro then called out King Corbin, who said he's putting out a king's ransom to anyone who can prove Riddle doesn't belong in his kingdom. Riddle said that's not the case, but Corbin can be the first guest on The Bro Show.
— The Miz and John Morrison had Naomi on MizTV as their guest. They spoke about Naomi trending on Twitter with people complaining that she deserves better. Then, they brought Lacey Evans out and she and Naomi scuffled a bit.
— Kofi Kingston said he'll be out for a while, so he encouraged Big E to take this time to have a singles run.
— Gran Metalik defeated Drew Gulak, Lince Dorado and Shorty G in a Fatal 4-Way No. 1 contender's match to earn an Intercontinental Championship title opportunity against The Phenomenal AJ Styles. That title shot will be for next week.
— A vignette aired to remind everyone Otis and Mandy Rose are still a thing.
— Cesaro and Shinsuke Nakamura talked trash about beating The New Day at Extreme Rules.
— Jeff Hardy defeated Sheamus by pinfall in their bar fight.
