The latest edition of WWE Friday Night SmackDown for June 5, 2020 took place at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida.
Here is a recap of the most noteworthy highlights from this episode for those who might have missed it:
— Updates from the car accident incident from last week are that Elias is out of action for several months for his injuries and Jeff Hardy cut a promo at the start of the show to address how it was obviously Sheamus who set him up. The Celtic Warrior came out to blame the situation on Hardy having another slip-up and that his family must be used to it by now. They started to fight and Sheamus ended up getting the better of Jeff.
— Otis defeated King Corbin by disqualification after Corbin used a steel chair.
— The Miz and John Morrison planned to make Braun Strowman's life a living hell and set up some pranks for the night. First, they messed with his protein drink. Then, they tried to drop green paint all over him, but they mostly got Kayla Braxton. After that, they smashed the windshield of Braun's car. But he found out they were hiding in a van and flipped it with them inside.
— Shorty G was interviewed by Kayla about his upset victory over Cesaro last week. Mojo Rawley interrupted to make short jokes. Cesaro and Shinsuke Nakamura then attacked Shorty G until Big E and Kofi Kingston came over to help. That led to a six-man tag team match. The New Day and Shorty G beat Rawley, Cesaro and Nakamura by pinfall.
— Lacey Evans defeated Sonya Deville by pinfall due in part to a distraction from Mandy Rose, who popped up on the TitanTron to call Deville a failure rather than a fighter.
— AJ Styles and Daniel Bryan had a face-to-face talking segment together. Styles offered Drew Gulak "an opportunity" aka "a handout" to face him. Drew Gulak got the upset by beating Styles by pinfall.
— WWE Women's Tag Team Championship Match: Bayley and Sasha Banks defetaed Bliss Cross Applesauce (Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross) by pinfall to win the titles.
