The latest edition of WWE Friday Night SmackDown for March 27, 2020 took place at the WWE Performance Center in Orlando, Florida.
Here is a recap of the most noteworthy highlights from this episode for those who might have missed it:
— The show started with a promo from Bayley and Sasha Banks about how unfair it is for Bayley to have to defend her title in a Fatal 5-Way (originally a Six-Pack Challenge, but Dana Brooke is in quarantine, although nothing of the sort was mentioned on the show). Bayley also spoke about how her friendship with Sasha is fine and that this match won't drive a wedge between them, but Banks seemed unwilling to agree. Lacey Evans, Naomi and Tamina all came out one by one to talk about how they'll win the title. Tamina took out Naomi and Evans while Banks and Bayley escaped.
— Drew Gulak defeated Shinsuke Nakamura by pinfall to earn Daniel Bryan an Intercontinental Championship match against Sami Zayn for WrestleMania.
— Backstage, a fight had to be broken up between Dolph Ziggler and Otis. Ziggler challenged Otis to a match for WrestleMania.
— Elias sang a song calling King Corbin a turd. Corbin then attacked Elias and pushed him off the raised platform. Elias crashed down to the concrete.
— Alexa Bliss defeated Asuka by pinfall.
— WrestleMania 32's match between Roman Reigns and Triple H was replayed.
— Mandy Rose told Dolph Ziggler she refuses to have Otis and Ziggler fight over her like she's some sort of prize, but she supports his match at WrestleMania. They leave together.
— On Firefly Fun House, Bray Wyatt mixed a smoothie of ingredients like "self-loathing" and Rambling Rabbit to help psyche himself up for his match against John Cena at WrestleMania.
— The New Day vs The Usos ended in a no-contest as John Morrison and The Miz attacked both teams. After the match, it was announced that since it was a draw, both teams will be in the title match at WrestleMania, which will be a Triple Threat Ladder Match now, instead.
