The latest edition of WWE Friday Night SmackDown for March 5, 2021 took place from the WWE ThunderDome at Tropicana Field in St. Petersburg, Florida.

Here is a recap of the most noteworthy highlights from this episode for those who might have missed it:

— Daniel Bryan kicked off the show with a promo about how passionate he is about professional wrestling and he's dedicated to being the main event of WrestleMania, rather than just a tag team partner for Edge for Fastlane. Roman Reigns and Jey Uso (with Paul Heyman) came out to talk some trash.

— King Corbin defeated Montez Ford by pinfall. Then, Angelo Dawkins defeated Sami Zayn by pinfall.

— Carmella fired Reginald backstage.

— Dominik Mysterio defeated Chad Gable

— Seth Rollins spoke about Cesaro and pondered why The Swiss Superman swung him around so many times. He thinks Cesaro is afraid of him. Buddy Murphy then came up to Rollins and said he could help him with the Cesaro problem. Rollins told him to get out of his sight.

— Bianca Belair defeated Shayna Baszler by pinfall.

— Cesaro defeated Murphy by submission.

— Steel Cage Match: Daniel Bryan defeated Jey Uso by submission.
