The latest edition of WWE Friday Night SmackDown for November 1, 2019 took place at the KeyBank Center in Buffalo, NY.

Here is a recap of the most noteworthy highlights from this episode for those who might have missed it:

— Brock Lesnar and Paul Heyman kicked off the show with a promo. They showed all the footage from Crown Jewel and said that they want Rey Mysterio. But since Mysterio is on Raw and the brand split is supposed to be contractually exclusive, Lesnar hereby quits SmackDown and will be on Monday Night Raw to fight Mysterio.

— With some help from Sasha Banks ringside interfering, Bayley retained the SmackDown Women's Championship over Nikki Cross by pinfall. After the match, Shayna Baszler took out Bayley to make a statement ahead of Survivor Series.

— Backstage, Keith Lee and Matt Riddle interrupted Sami Zayn's interview. He tried to run off, but Lee and Riddle caught up to him and beat him down.

— The Miz was supposed to host Bray Wyatt as his guest on MizTV, but he is still in Saudi Arabia. Instead, Tommaso Ciampa came out for a promo to talk some trash about The Miz, who challenged him to a match. Ciampa then beat The Miz by pinfall.

— Backstage, Daniel Bryan challenged Triple H to a match, but The Game declined as he didn't have his gear. They briefly teased Shawn Michaels as Bryan's opponent before Adam Cole came over. Bryan suggested Cole put the NXT Championship on the line and they agreed.

— Bianca Belair attacked Carmella and Dana Brooke backstage prior to their scheduled match with Fire and Desire. Instead, Tegan Nox and Rhea Ripley beat Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville by submission.

— Adam Cole retained the NXT Championship over Daniel Bryan by pinfall

— Triple H and a bunch of NXT stars stood tall in the ring. They've fired the first shot for Survivor Series.
