The latest edition of WWE Friday Night SmackDown for October 4, 2019 took place at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, CA.
Here is a recap of the most noteworthy highlights from this episode for those who might have missed it:
— The show started with a promo. Becky Lynch was interrupted by King Baron Corbin, who then was interrupted by The Rock. After The Rock and Lynch made fun of Corbin a while, they teamed up to take him out and send him packing.
— Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair defeated Bayley and Sasha Banks by submission when Bayley tapped out to Flair.
— Seth Rollins and Shinsuke Nakamura had a champion versus champion match that ended with Bray Wyatt interfering and attacking Rollins.

— Braun Strowman, Heavy Machinery and The Miz defeated AJ Styles, Dolph Ziggler, Robert Roode and Randy Orton by pinfall. Heavyweight boxer Tyson Fury was ringside and he and Strowman almost got into a fight, which seems to be setting up something for another time.
— Roman Reigns defeated Erick Rowan by pinfall in a lumberjack match.
— Brock Lesnar defeated Kofi Kingston with one F-5 by pinfall to win the WWE Championship. Rey Mysterio then came out with Cain Velasquez, who proceeded to attack Lesnar until the new champion and Paul Heyman ran off.
