The latest edition of WWE Friday Night SmackDown for September 11, 2020 took place at the Amway Center in Orlando, Florida.
Here is a recap of the most noteworthy highlights from this episode for those who might have missed it:
— The show opened with a promo hyping up the Universal Championship match for Clash of Champions with Roman Reigns and Paul Heyman as well as the No. 1 contender, Jey Uso. Sheamus and King Corbin interrupted to voice their concerns that Jey Uso being added into the title shot match was nepotism and Jey offered a tag team match for later in the night between them.
— Intercontinental Championship Match: Jeff Hardy (c) vs AJ Styles ended when Sami Zayn interfered and attacked both of them
— Lucha House Party defeated Cesaro and Shinsuke Nakamura by pinfall from a distraction by The Street Profits.
— Nikki Cross defeated Lacey Evans, Alexa Bliss and Tamina in a Fatal 4-Way No. 1 contender's match to earn a title shot against Bayley for Clash of Champions.
— Otis defeated John Morrison by pinfall. The Miz ran off with Otis's Money in the Bank lunchbox, but Otis then revealed that he had a different lunchbox with the contract in it. The one Miz and Morrison stole just had an apple core in it.
— Bray Wyatt revealed the newest member of the Firefly Fun House puppet crew, which was supposed to be Pasqually the Persevering Parrot, but he died since Wyatt didn't poke holes in his container. The Vince McMahon puppet showed up and introduced Wobbly Walrus—a parody of Paul Heyman.
— Roman Reigns and Jey Uso defeated Sheamus and King Corbin by pinfall
