According to a number of sources, WWE Hall of Famer Howard Finkel has been battling with some health issues for several months now. He's reportedly lost a lot of weight and while his voice was used at RAW 25 back in January, it's now been revealed that was actually pre-taped because he was unable to travel at the time. He also missed last year's WrestleMania due to being unwell at the time.
At 68-years-old, Finkel is widely considered the best ring announcer of all-time and has been working with WWE since 1975. His role has been scaled down in recent years as he's got older, though.
Finkel was responsible for coining the phrase "WrestleMania" and his legacy will be felt for a long time to come. With any luck, these undisclosed health issues aren't too serious and he'll be back to 100% sooner rather than later. We'll obviously keep you updated on that and if Finkel is dealing with anything serious, we obviously wish him a speedy recovery over the coming weeks and months.
