WWE has confirmed that John Cena will make his WWE return this Friday night on SmackDown, and it will be his first appearance for the company since last July. While rumours are currently swirling that the leader of the Cenation will face Elias at WrestleMania, WWE Hall of Famer Goldberg is another rumoured opponent.

We'll have to wait and see on that front, but Booker T has now shared his thoughts on who he believes Cena's opponent should be during the latest edition of his podcast.

"Roman Reigns," the WWE Hall of Famer stated. "Roman Reigns being the guy now, John Cena being the guy who has put in so much time, one of the greatest WWE Champions in history. I know John Cena could pull it off, I know Roman Reigns could pull it off."

"I know that’s a match going into it on paper that a lot of people on paper are going to say I don’t know if I want to see this," Booker T continued. "I know also that both of those guys are Shakespearean, both of those guys know the art of going out there and doing Romeo and Juliet."

It would be fun to see Cena and Reigns go at it again, but that's something WWE has already done, and most fans are hoping for a fresh match from Cena at the Show of Shows. However, should the day come when the former WWE Champion chooses to retire from in-ring action, The Big Dog might be the perfect choice to put him down.

What do you guys think?
