WWE Hall of Famer Booker T recently spoke to Sports Illustrated about a number of topics, including which match he believes should headline this year's
WrestleMania. There are already a lot of possibilities, of course, but he's on board with the idea of it being Drew McIntyre vs. WWE Champion Brock Lesnar.
"McIntyre-Lesnar is a built-in story," Booker said. "Drew paid his dues. He’s a guy that got fired, had to go out there and find himself, then work his way back up. Drew is a guy that was once labeled ‘The Chosen One,’ and then all of that fell through. To see him back, it’s only fitting to close WrestleMania with that match."
"I was that guy once upon a time, so I know exactly how Drew feels right now," he continued. "It will be one of those stories where the guy who worked his ass off gets rewarded, and it will be awesome." There's no denying that and it definitely feels like the Hall of Famer has hit the nail on the head here.
While it was initially believed that Roman Reigns vs. The Fiend for the Universal Championship would headline WrestleMania, it's since been reported that the plan is for it to be Lesnar vs. McIntyre.
