Tonight's episode of NXT (January 21, 2025) featured a handful of guest appearances from across the WWE Universe.
One of the most interesting to be in the Performance Center for these tapings was Corey Graves, sitting back on the commentary booth alongside Vic Joseph and Booker T. Graves started the episode by saying he was right where he wanted to be, which is interesting considering he missed last week's show after publicly expressing his frustration over being bumped off the main roster commentary team after the switches that took place with reinstating Pat McAfee as Michael Cole's color commentator on Raw (and SmackDown being just Joe Tessitore and Wade Barrett, rather than a three-man booth).
WWE Hall of Famer Diamond Dallas Page was in attendance, briefly shown just to do his signature "BANG!" taunt.
While he didn't appear on tonight's episode, Javier Bernal did return to action prior to NXT, wrestling his first match since June 4, 2024, as he has been out with a foot injury.
Bayley appeared on tonight's episode to continue her feud with Roxanne Perez. Those two will face off next week in a tag team match wherein Bayley will team with Giulia and Perez will team with Cora Jade, following their brawl on this episode.
A-Town Down Under (Austin Theory and Grayson Waller) were in a backstage segment in Ava's office to announce that Oba Femi will be a guest on The Grayson Waller Effect next week.
Bianca Belair and Naomi also appeared in a pre-taped vignette to continue to promote their upcoming WWE Women's Tag Team Championship bout for next week as they will be defending their titles against The Meta Girls (Lash Legend and Jakara Jackson).
These guest spots are becoming more and more frequent as of late, which may indicate WWE has had a spike of success by featuring Raw and SmackDown stars on a more regular basis. It could also be in part due to the "transfer window" being in effect, but none of these talents have been spoken of in any capacity about officially joining the NXT roster beyond just the expectation that Graves may continue to serve as a commentator on this brand for the time being.
