WWE Hall Of Famer Edge Was Left "Confused" By The Undertaker Vs. John Cena At WRESTLEMANIA 34
As expected, The Undertaker did indeed turn up at WrestleMania to answer John Cena's challenge. However, their match left many - including WWE Hall of Famer Edge - a little disappointed. More past the jump...
There's no denying that The Undertaker's appearance at WrestleMania was something very special to witness (I should know, I was there), but the actual match itself left a lot to be desired in many fans' estimations.
Granted, some felt that The Dead Man basically squashing Josh Cena was for the best after 'Taker lost to Roman Reigns last year, but for others, this was a dream match that should have gone the distance.
As it turns out, WWE Hall of Famer and one-time "Rate-R Superstar" Edge was just as "confused" about the brevity of the bout:
“The Taker/Cena thing… I’m confused. Yeah, even sitting in the crowd and running to the back. And then, what was it, a five-minute match or something? Was it? I mean, who knows going into it what limitations there are or anything like that, but, man, there was an opportunity to have a dream match at WrestleMania and it felt lost somehow. I don’t know. It was just odd. I guess that’s really what it was to me. It was just odd.”
Who knows - maybe this isn't the last we see of Cena vs. The Undertaker. After all, The Phenom is set to appear at the Greatest Royal Rumble, so perhaps he'll add a few more dates to his schedule and we'll get that rematch at some point.
