Goldberg's last WWE run was a mixed bag. While it was fun seeing him do battle with the likes of Kevin Owens and Brock Lesnar, it was clear that he was limited with his in-ring abilities and that his career was nearing its end. As a result, it was no great surprise when he lost the Universal Championship at last year's WrestleMania and when he got inducted into the Hall of Fame a couple of weeks ago.
The question is, will we ever see Goldberg back in the wrestling ring? "If I never stepped in the ring again, I’m content, dude," he's revealed. "I’m completely at peace. I really am. Would I like to do it again? Who knows. It would have to be the right fit. I’d love to do it again for my son. Let’s be honest. Everybody knows that. But at the end of the day, you have to be smart about it."
"There’s no question it would have to be the right opponent," he added when asked what could lead to his return to the squared circle somewhere down the line. "What I was able to accomplish last year was really special, and I don’t want to take anything away from that by any stretch of the imagination, devalue my place in the Hall of Fame and my stature to the fans."
Whether or not Goldberg will ever return to WWE remains to be seen but it doesn't seem likely. What do you guys think? As always, let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
