As part of WWE's new television deal with FOX, a studio show is going to air on FS1 when SmackDown Live moves to the network this Fall. Details on that have been few and far between but there have been rumblings that Renee Young will be hosting it due to her well-received work on Talking Smack.
Well, a new rumour now claims that Jerry "The King" Lawler is being eyed by WWE as being a big part of that because FOX knows his face and voice is a familiar one to longtime fans.
His involvement is certainly a smart way to attract older fans but he's no Jim Ross and Lawler has made a habit of making troubling comments in recent years, particularly when it comes to female wrestlers. If he does end up working with Young, he hopefully won't spend the entirety of the show talking about "puppies."
