2019 was not a great year for Kurt Angle. After some strange booking decisions by WWE, the Hall of Famer embarked on a Road to WrestleMania that included a lot of disappointing matches and that culminated with an underwhelming bout against Baron Corbin at the Show of Shows that was dubbed his "Farewell Match."
The question is, could Angle ever be tempted back into the squared circle?
"I don’t plan on wrestling again," he admitted during a recent interview before joking about what could bring him back. "If something comes about, maybe my son, Jason Jordan, comes back and wants me to tag with him, maybe. But for the most part, I’m good. My body, I put it through hell the last twenty years. I know how I feel now and I know I want to have a quality of life after wrestling."
"Want to be able to play with my kids and hold them. I’m 50 years old, I’ve been wrestling amateur and pro for the last 45 years, so it’s time for me to step down."
Sadly, Jason Jordan is unlikely to return to wrestling after suffering a neck injury which has seemingly ended his career. Before that happened, it's believed WWE was plotting a heel turn for him which would have seen the former Tag Team Champion feud with his "father."
With any luck, though, WWE will bring Angle back as an on-air personality of some sort!
