WWE Hall Of Famer Kurt Angle Reached Out To Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige About Possible MCU Role

Only a handful of professional wrestlers have successfully made the leap from the ring to Hollywood, with The Rock, Dave Bautista, and John Cena the most noteworthy examples.

Something they all have in common, of course, is the fact they've all starred in superhero movies. Dwayne Johnson took on the title role in Black Adam, while Bautista has been playing the MCU's Drax as part of the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise since way back in 2014. As for Cena, he's the DCU's Peacemaker after starring in both a solo series and The Suicide Squad movie.

Olympic Gold Medallist Kurt Angle has appeared in movies like Warrior, Pain & Gain, and Sharknado 2: The Second One, but could he join the actors above in a Marvel or DC project?

During a recent edition of The Kurt Angle Show, the WWE Hall of Famer was asked about potentially joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe. "I've tried many times," Angle admitted. "It's not that easy."

Luckily for Angle, his nephew-in-law is Daredevil: Born Again star and Hollywood A-Lister Jon Bernthal. So, with a little help from The Punisher, he was able to get Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige's contact details.

"I ended up getting [Feige's] contact information and I reached out to him and told him that I'd be interested in doing a Marvel movie," Angle recalled. "He actually responded to me but nothing ever came of it. I talked to him, but unfortunately, nothing has occurred since then."

We've heard of many meetings that have resulted in actors only hearing back from Feige years later, so there's always a chance Angle will get that call.

Earlier today, set photos from Captain America: New World Order confirmed that WWE Superstar Seth Rollins has landed a role, so Marvel Studios clearly has nothing against casting professional wrestlers.

Who do you think Angle could play in the MCU?
