WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle was among the employees furloughed by the company back in April, and he would later turn down an offer to Matt Riddle (because WWE didn't offer him enough money). While it would be unfair to say he's on the outs with WWE, he's not shied away from expressing disappointment with how his return was handled.
During a recent interview with PW Insider, Angle was asked about whether he would be open to working with All Elite Wrestling, and it doesn't sound like the Olympic Gold Medallist is against the idea!
"I love AEW, you know, I love what they’ve been doing," Angle admitted. "I think they’ve got a lot of great young talent, they’ve done an excellent job so far. Would I be interested in doing it? I don’t know, I don’t have plans on wrestling."
"Every once in a while I do something for WWE, I kinda like that. Maybe somewhere along the line I might do something for AEW but I don’t have any plans to do that."
Angle later noted that he's looking to move on with what he does with his life, and it sounds like he may be close to leaving his wrestling career behind for good. Angle retired in a match with King Corbin at WrestleMania last year, a creative decision which disappointed wrestling fans.
