We've known for a while now that WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair plans to come out of retirement for one more match, and the bout has finally been revealed.
On July 31, "The Nature Boy," who many consider the greatest professional wrestler of all time, is set to return to the ring, one final time, as part of the Jim Crockett Promotions Presents: Ric Flair's Last Match wrestling event. As you can see in the videos below, recent events have led to Flair teaming with son-in-law Andrade El Idolo against Jeff Jarrett and Jay Lethal, with Karen Jarrett in their corner.
Taking place at the world-famous Nashville Fairgrounds, the 16-time former World Heavyweight Champion will don a new custom-made robe for the match and will bring the one-of-a-kind showmanship that has made Flair a cultural icon for his over 40 years in the professional wrestling business.
"I'm going to walk that aisle, one last time to prove once and for all, that to be the Man, you've got to beat the Man," Flair says in a statement over at RicFlairsLastMatch.com.
Under the banner of Jim Crockett Promotions, "Ric Flair's Last Match" will be produced by Thuzio, a Triller Company, and will be streaming worldwide, exclusively on FITE. Needless to say, we're intrigued to see how this match plays out and hope Flair is able to make it through without sustaining any injuries or putting his health at risk.
It's a great match, anyway, and we'll be sure to keep you updated on this one as we learn more.
Woo!
