During the latest edition of his podcast, Stone Cold Steve Austin offered some advice to Seth Rollins. While the Universal and RAW Tag Team Champion is doing well for himself right now, there are still some ways the WWE Hall of Famer thinks he could improve to become a top tier talent.
"Seth’s a tremendous worker and I just think, man, when he turns up that entertainment factor, because he’s pretty reserved on the horn," Austin explained. "And, man, if you go back and watch my promos, I mean, I never know what I’m going to say. I mean, I have things because of storylines and that and angles, so I know where I’m going, but I’ll stutter or I’ll miss a word, but it’s all emotion."
"I think that emotions sell tickets, but also being larger than life sells tickets, so if he could just learn to amp it up a little bit, because every time I had a stick in my hands, I was trying to channel and emit energy and people feed off that," he concluded, making it clear that he believes Rollins has some work to do on his promos.
While Rollins is good on the mic, it's easy to see where Austin is coming from and the Texas Rattlesnake does know what he's talking about when it comes to these things.
Unfortunately, Rollins is forced to stick to a script every time he picks up a mic, so it's really not that easy to deliver the sort of passionate promos Austin was often able to!
What do you guys think?
