There have been rumours this week that WWE is planning to have The Usos win the SmackDown Tag Team Championships in the near future, with Jimmy and Jey likely set to dethrone Rey and Dominick Mysterio. However, Universal Champion Roman Reigns is now setting his sights on Rey, so it doesn't appear that's the plan for Hell in a Cell (unless the Master of the 619 is pulling double duty).
Now, WrestlingNews.co is reporting that The Usos are expected to continue feuding with Rey and Dominick over the summer, with the idea being that Jimmy will soon get on board with his cousin's vision (as Jey did before him).
As the site explains, "the idea is that Jimmy and Jey will eventually be fully onboard with Reings’ vision and they will win the SmackDown tag team titles by SummerSlam."
"Obviously, the plan is to build Roman up so fans see him as being on the level of Cena and Rock but this is also about making Jimmy and Jey look strong and we will get there by SummerSlam," their source reveals. "This will be a tight-knit unit in a few months."
"SummerSlam will be a big night for Roman and for Jimmy and Jey," they conclude.
It's clearly going to be an exciting few months for this faction, and WWE has huge plans to make the trio a focal point on the blue brand. Who will be powerful enough to ultimately overthrow them? That's a very good question, and one we might not be able to answer for a long time to come...
