WWE Has Confirmed That All Of 2018's PPV Events Following WRESTLEMANIA Will Be Dual-Branded
Confirming a recent rumor, WWE has just officially announced that, following WrestleMania in April, the rest of the year's pay-per-view events will feature Superstars from both Raw and SmackDown LIVE...
A recent rumor doing the rounds suggested that, because of repetitive match-ups and slow ticket sales, WWE was planning to shake things up with their monthly PPV events so they'd feature stars and feuds from both Raw and SmackDown LIVE, and now it's been confirmed.
The company has sent out an email announcing that every even after WrestleMania this April will indeed be sual-branded:
After WrestleMania, you’ll get the best of both brands – Raw and SmackDown LIVE – every month, on every pay-per-view. Catch every event streaming live on the award-winning WWE Network.
WrestleMania 34 – April 8, 2018
WWE Backlash – May 6, 2018
WWE Money in the Bank – June 17, 2018
WWE Extreme Rules – July 15, 2018
SummerSlam – Aug. 19, 2018
WWE Hell in a Cell – Sept. 16, 2018
WWE TLC: Tables, Ladders & Chairs – Oct. 21, 2018
Survivor Series – Nov. 18, 2018
WWE Clash of Champions – Dec. 16, 2018
It remains to be seen if this has the desired effect, but having Superstars from both shows interacting at the PPVs definitely opens up a lot of exciting possibilities - for the weekly installments as well as the big events.
