WWE Has Filed A Number Of New Trademarks For Two Attitude Era Superstars

This doesn't mean that either Superstar is planning to step back into the squared circle but WWE has filed a couple of very interesting trademarks which point to us getting some merchandise if nothing else...

On Wednesday, February 5th, WWE filed for two new trademarks for "Christian" and "The Texas Rattlesnake." The latter is obviously Stone Cold Steve Austin's nickname and both names were filed for merchandise with the United States Patent & Trademark Office.

Austin remains a big part of WWE as a host of his own show on the WWE Network, and he also makes the occasional appearance on television. It's no great surprise that WWE is looking to continue selling merchandise with his slogans and name on them as he remains an iconic part of the company as an icon of the Attitude Era.

As for Christian, we can only hope this means WWE has plans to involve him in the current storyline with Edge and Randy Orton. He has his own history with The Viper and his career extended well beyond the Attitude Era as he left his tag team past behind to become World Heavyweight Champion.

With any luck, a WWE Hall of Fame induction is something WWE is considering for this year...
